Good news: Still available exactly as before: See screenshot.
As in 91, you can only drag contacts from the AB containing the list into the list in the directory pane on the left side.

That said, we should certainly strive for more flexibility here.

Fortunately I had to use another computer, on this computer it is working as you say.
BUT not on the previous one, even after TB 102.0.2 !!
My analysis: DnD is working if contacts are displayed vertically in 3 columns but not working if contacts are displayed horizontally !!
too bad ;-)

It is not just dragging a contact from address book to mailing list.
You cannot drag and drop any contact to any address book or mailing list - IF you have the horizontal view.
I mention this as it may be related see bug 1777913

Refiled cleanly as bug 1779825, which would make a good complement for bug 1777913.
