RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1777683

Details

Steps to reproduce:

In Debian sid/unstable upgrade from thunderbird 1:91.11.0-1 to 1:102.0.1-1. Reply to all to a message with addresses in Cc.

Actual results:

In the message composer for the reply, the Cc field wasn’t shown, and enabling it, it’s empty.

Expected results:

The people from Cc should be added to the Cc of the reply when replying to all.

I can not reproduce this.

If I pick up some random email with To and Cc recipients and use Reply All I see the To and Cc fields are filled up correctly.

Please keep in mind that Debian has patched the button which probably show a 'Reply All' normally now also provide a 'Reply to list' option. Maybe you clicked on that option?

I can not reproduce this.

Hmm, I guess that would have been too easy.

If I pick up some random email with To and Cc recipients and use Reply All I see the To and Cc fields are filled up correctly.

I can reproduce this with all emails with addresses in Cc. Do you have the Cc configured to be shown (even if empty) by default?

Please keep in mind that Debian has patched the button which probably show a 'Reply All' normally now also provide a 'Reply to list' option. Maybe you clicked on that option?

I am using Ctrl + Shift + r, but also was able to reproduce it with the button.

Makes no difference if I use the mouse or the keyboard by using shortcuts, works here.
I haven't configured any special view for headers or To/Cc fields, just using the defaults for years.

Another guess, disable all extensions and try again. Most issues that got to my attentions are based on Ad-ons that do somehow misbehave.

Thanks Paul and Carsten, we have this on record as bug 1777683.
Still trying to reproduce it, which seems a bit more tricky.

Carsten, thank you for your help. Could you please make sure, Thunderbird 102.x won’t migrate into Debian testing with that bug? That’d be awesome.

Sure.

I've created https://bugs.debian.org/1014745 to fulfill a blocking of the migration.
