Certainly I exposed the fonts attribute on the worker scope, so the benchmark might be doing more work than it used to. It shouldn't have any cost unless it is accessed however (either directly via fonts or OffscreenCanvasRenderingContext2D).

Its been 2 years and it looks like we have just accepted this regression and moved on.
I will close the bug as incomplete. Feel free to reopen!
