Details

Starting from Thunderbird 102.0.2 (or shortly before), the integrated calender does no longer respect the locale settings when displaying event times. In detail:

  1. Settings\General\Language & Appearance\Date and Time Formatting:
  • The "Application locale" is "English (United States)", and is not selected
  • The "Regional settings locale" is "German (Germany)", and this is selected
  1. When editing a calendar event, the respective start and end times are shown using the correct locale (German in my case, e. g. "20:45").

  2. In the calendar itself, all times are displayed using English locale (e. g. "8:45 PM"), and the German locale setting is ignored.

  • All calendar views are affected by this bug (Day, Week, Multiweek, and Month).
  • Previous Thunderbird versions were not affected.

Thanks, already fixed and the fix will roll out soon.
