Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I noticed in my Thunderbird client that he doesn't download my older mails from my Yahoo account using IMAP. When I push 'get messages' I get my latest messages, but not my old messages. In my inbox online (webmail) I've +14.000 mails. In my Thunderbird client only 8430 mails. My old mails from before october 2014 are not downloaded. When I put one of these mails in a new folder, my Thunderbird client makes a new folder, and starts to download this mail correctly. I think Thunderbird has problems with folders with too much mails in it.

I'm using NTFS on a Windows 10

In attachment you can find an IMAP log file.

Actual results:

Old mails from before october 2014 are not downloaded using "Get messages".

Expected results:

Using IMAP, I hope to get locally a back up from all the mails I have online.

You can find an IMAP log file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TIdswfCz5DR3IOQyzz2bw5_9Cvxs5NIn/view?usp=sharing

Thanks for providing the log:

The Yahoo server clearly says there are only 10000 messages.

The same for the "Sent" folder.

The problem with the Yahoo/AOL servers is also affecting others:

Through a tip from "kiwiplant" (Bug 1776261), I found the following:

https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN28681.html

If you change the server address accordingly, all email should appear.

What surprises me a bit is that you have seen less than 10000 email.

I changed the server address of Yahoo, and now I'm receiving all the older mails.

Mny thx!!
