• Windows 10 x64
• Windows 11 x64

[Prerequisites]:

• Have the Firefox browser installed/extracted and opened.
• Have the “nimbus.debug” pref set to true.

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Navigate to “about:studies?optin_slug=pin-private-windows-to-taskbar-beta-study&optin_branch=treatment-a” link to enroll in the Treatment A of the “Pin Private Windows to Taskbar Beta Study” experiment.
2. Open a new private Window(Ctrl+Shift+P) and dismiss the “Pin to taskbar” promo.
3. Observe the elements displayed.

[Expected result]:

• The “PB Focus” promo message is displayed.

[Actual result]:

• The “PB Focus” promo is not displayed.

[Notes]:

• The “PB Focus” promo is displayed after a refresh of the page.
• The "PB Focus" promo is also not displayed on the next opened tab on the Treatment A branch.
• This issue is also reproducible on the Treatment B of the experiment.
• This issue is not reproducible if the primary button "Pin to taskbar" of the "Private browsing freedom in one click" promo is clicked.

Just to clarify -- the defect is that Focus promo does not appear ONLY when Pin Private Window is dismissed.

This is ok - won't fix.

My assumption is that the user clicks dismiss for one of these 2 reasons 1) doesn't want to Pin Private Window 2) doesn't like promos on PB new tab in general. Seeing another promo right after they just dismiss a promo could be a bad user experience.
