Steps to reproduce:

Go to add a CardDAV Address Book, choose 'New Address Book', then 'Add CardDAV Address Book', in the dialog that pops on screen, add in your AppleID for 'Username', and for Location enter: https://contacts.icloud.com. Next dialog box 'Username' remains as AppleID, and for password an Apple Specific App password is entered.

Actual results:

The dialog box then presents the message 'Failed to connect'.

Expected results:

I would have expected the link to the address book to have been completed and the CardDAV Address Book added.

Hmm. Bug 700237 is very old, so not sure if it's still the same.
