User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:105.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/105.0

Steps to reproduce:

Added "next unread" button to message window toolbar.

Clicked the button.

Actual results:

Worked first time after I added it, hasn't worked since.

Expected results:

Should work every time (when there are more unread messages, at least).

Summary: next unread button in message window (not tab) doesn't work → next unread button in message window (not tab) doesn't work - Worked first time after I added it, hasn't worked since.

Hello Glenn, this works for me on TB 102.5.1 (64-bit), Win10, gmail IMAP. Clicking the Next Unread button (from customization) in separate message reader window correctly advances through all unread messages of current folder, then asks to proceed on other folders. Tried closing the message window in between, even restarting TB - still works.

Without further information how to reproduce this problem, there's nothing we can do here.

Hi Thomas,

102.5.0 still has the problem. Since you mentioned 102.5.1, I checked my version, and it hadn't upgraded yet. So I clicked the button to upgrade it, and tried again, and it works.

So rather than "Worksforme" it would seem appropriate to find the bug that was fixed, and mark this as "duplicate"? I had searched for such a bug when I submitted mine, but didn't find one.

I'd be very interested to read about the bug that was fixed, that also fixed mine.

Hmm. How about trying to move through unread messages in a sub-Local Folders folder?

My experiment with 102.51.1 above worked in an inbox, but now I'm finding that it doesn't work in Local Folders. I have lots of filters to move certain unread messages to Local Folders, and read them there. That is still not working with the "Next unread" option in the new message window.

Here's my setup with the next button added to toolbar of message reader satellite window.
