Details

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select a folder in an IMAP acccount.
  2. Select 20 email messages.
  3. Accidentally hit "K" (ignore thread) instead of "J" (junk mail).
  4. Notice the accident and press Ctrl+Z or select Edit - Undo.

Actual results:

The action that was executed before hitting the "K" is undone but the ignore thread stays in action.

Expected results:

The action "ignore thread" executed after hitting "K" should be undone. If that action cannot be undone, the whole undo history should be removed instead of applying random undo action from the undo history when one tries to undo the last action.

Additional details:
Tested with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/91.11.0 (Build ID 20220628000715) as distributed with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Version 91 is no longer supported. Does the problem happen in version 102 after Help > Troubleshoot Mode?
If it does then this is a regression, which has been known to happen in the past. Examples bug 1558632, bug 1602515

I don't think the shortcuts was ever supported for that. You do get a notification though.

Component: Untriaged → Mail Window Front End

I can still reproduce this problem with following setup. Selecting any message from IMAP server and pressing K and Ctrl+Z doesn't undo the "K".
