1794434 - detach all file attachments results in deletion of email

Steps to reproduce:

I was in view email tab (i.e. I had double-clicked on email and it was in separate tab), and detached 14 files attached to it. the email arrived on 14/7/22 (current date 10/10/22).

Actual results:

Three of the files had to be confirmed since there was an existing file of the same name. i did that, then got the final "this cannot be undone...sure?" msg, and clicked on Yes. Tab and email disappeared.

Expected results:

Should have returned me to email tab, and email should still be there. It's gone.

Wfm on 102.3.3 (64-bit), Win10, IMAP - message displayed in tab remains after selecting and detaching all attachments, and is still correctly present in message list (also without attachments as expected).

• POP or IMAP?
• Does this happen every time when you detach all attachments from a message displayed in a tab?
• Does it happen with ≡ > Help > Troubleshoot Mode…?
• Have you searched for the missing message in the trash folder of the account where this happened? (Maybe you confirmed detaching with Enter key and accidentally hit Del key? That would normally move the message to trash, but not close the tab depending on your settings).

Hello again.
I sent an email with 4 attached files to myself, diownloaded it, double-clicked to get tab view, and detached the four files. Email was not deleted.
So I think the question of whether it happens in Troubleshoot mode is irrelevant.
I have rechecked the 14 files, which were successfully detached from the missing email. They are all pdf or docx files, and open normally. Sorry - not much to go on here!
