User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:108.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/108.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Visit a site and click on the Star button in the urlbar.
- In the Location section, click on the right-most arrow to show all the bookmarks folders.
- Click again to hide it.
- Repeat as necessary.
Actual results:
The menu flickers. If you go frame-by-frame in the video it seems the menu moves around.
Expected results:
Curiously, this isn't a (recent) regression at all. The build from 2020-01-01 is affected, and in the build from 2019-01-01 I can't open the star menu at all, I presume due to the GTK version.

:tgnff242, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0
Hi,
I am able to reproduce the issue in release 106, beta 107.0b3 and the latest nightly 108.0a1 (2022-10-24) using Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20. This is not a regression since I can reproduce it in Fx 66 as well.
Thanks for your input.

The fact that the intermediate state makes it to the screen feels like a layout/xul issue.
