I suppose Bug 1795893 and this one shouldn't coexist. Have we considered showing a dedicated icon instead of just highlighting the shield icon? The glowing-shield-icon signal isn't that meaningful because users won't be able to tell that we handled a cookie banner for a site that has already had trackers blocked. I even expect that we will block trackers for most sites that show a cookie banner!

^ This is a good question to bring up with product. In general, I think it's useful for us to keep thinking about the right way to represent cookie banner handling in the UI.
However, right now the front-end desktop work is focused on implementing what's in scope for 110, as documented in the product spec[1] and the figma[2], and represented here in BMO under the v1 metabug, bug 1800486.
The suggestion in bug 1795893 is not in scope, as far as I'm aware, but if user feedback indicates people care about seeing a cookie banner indicator, separate from a tracking protection indicator, it definitely could be worth revisiting in a future iteration.
