If only evaluating the perf impact of a new sccache release were that simple...

You should check between 2 builds with SCCACHE_RECACHE set to 1, and 2 builds with the closest to 100% cache hits. And in each, check sccache.log for timings, although those can vary depending on infra.

Do you know if this is documented somewhere ?
I looked at previous updates of sccache and didn't see any work on benchmarks (ex: bug 1769335 or bug 1685244)
