Steps to reproduce:
Make Thunderbird's window 835px tall or less.
Or, start squashing the window horizontally, eventually it starts hiding attachments then too.
Actual results:
I like keeping my DE tidy, this often involves click-dragging Thunderbird into the top right corner so it can have that corner of my offhand monitor. Plenty of space. In fact, exactly 1280x720 window size when snapped to a corner on my 1440p monitors.
This is comfortable. Though, once the vertical height of Thunderbird starts to drop below 890px tall, the "📎 1 attachment: xxx" bar at the bottom of the mail client begins to squash out of view. This should be very easy to reproduce by viewing an email with an attachment, then slowly shrinking Thunderbird's vertical window size.
This seems to happen even if there is no message body (e.g. deploying profiles with no need for a message body). And even when sending emails and adding an attachment, it squashes out of view.
The window being less than 835px tall hides the attachment pane entirely with no way to even partially click it without growing Thunderbird's window size to reveal the attachment pane and button to save it.
Expected results:
The attachment pane should just be docked at the bottom of an email body (Sending or Reading received) no matter the vertical window size of Thunderbird

Indeed, 102.5.1 (64-bit), Win10, attachment pane gets pushed out of viewport with no access for low app window height. It's a bit of an edge case...

Aleca's Bug 1694549 Comment 4 says the same, and that it will be fixed by bug 1729379 in mid 2023.
