I run the windows colour scheme 'High contrast black' with large fonts - I
notice that when I look at preference options for mail or the browser the radio
buttons and check boxes are black on black - e.g. I don't know if I have really
clicked on something.
High contrast colour schemes are used by people with visual disabilities and by
preference by some other people.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit-Preferences
2. Select a checkbox or a radio button
3.
Actual Results:
Check/Selection is black on black e.g. invisible
Expected Results:
Most other windows applications can handle this, M$ Word for example will show
white ticks in black boxes in tools-options.

If this bug gets confirmed, it might be strongly related to bug 177475 and bug
172751. The second one will introduce native radio button look (*as I understand
it*) and make Mozilla radio buttons look exactly like radio buttons in other
Windows applications.
I assume people do not choose a color scheme that makes radio buttons in most
applications useless. So with their color scheme Mozilla should just work as
well after fixing that bug.

Actually, this particular problem has been raised before... and yes, either
nsITheme or a radical change to how themes work would be needed to solve it.
