Reading pane has no buttons, when from field is empty and hidden

Steps to reproduce:
I received spam mail that didn’t have a sender (from-field was empty).
Actual results:
In the reading pane (classical layout), the buttons that usually show up to the right of the sender’s name and address were missing. The from-filed wasn’t shown in the header either. The header started with the to-field, so I guess the buttons and the from-field are placed in one line/toolbar which was hidden, as the from-field was empty.
Expected results:
The from-field should be shown as emtpy, so you actually see it is empty, and the buttons should still be there.

Thanks lrdix. Known problem for malformed messages. Should probably fix it nevertheless. Until then, see Bug 1793918 Comment 2 for workarounds.
