Why/User Benefit/User Problem
Firefox Beta for Android can be configured to clear certain items on exit. History and site data are a single checkbox so I am not given the choice to clear history but keep site data.
What/Requirements
I use sites that store local data so I can use it again next time without any cookies or sign in. I don't want to store a history but I do want the data I typed into that site.
Example is https://ac-turnip.com/Acceptance Criteria (how do I know when I’m done?)
Separate checkboxes for history and site data.

I'm just a user who came for this issue alone, apologies if this comment is unwelcome or unhelpful, but I've had a look into the priority and severity systems in place and I think this could have a higher priority. Currently, I have to decide between using browser history and protecting privacy through clearing site data, meaning one of two major features of a privacy browser are unavailable due to this. Could it not also be considered for kind of severity? "Blocks non-critical functionality and a work around exists" sounds applicable here to me.
Can this be prioritised? Seems like it impacts many people and been opened a number of times (and remains open 3 times):
https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/10175 -> https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1813099 (this)

https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/25818 -> https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1813788
Please make this happen. I use Edge just because of this on mobile. This doesn't even make sense. These are totally different things.
I share your view too. It's totally illogical and also different from desktop Firefox. Why someone thought clearing "site data" should be linked with clearing "browsing history" and not "cookies" I can't understand.
Cripples the browser.

Hey Grumpus,
I'll nominate this up as a possible quick win in our next planning meeting, thanks for flagging!
Thanks Jeff! Worth noting that this specific report is for a specific use case ("Delete browsing data on quit") . The solution should cover splitting the "browsing history" from the "site data" under both the "Delete browsing data on quit" AND "Delete browsing data" UI pages which would then address the 5 reports I listed above.
