"To increase QCDOU, the Firefox Velocity Team has experimented with various Emotive Onboarding experiences targeted towards infrequent, casual, and regular Firefox users.

We ran a series of experiments which targeted users with the call to action pinning Firefox to the taskbar. We saw that doodles are a more effective way of driving further engagement than the current control experience. In the pin-to-taskbar experiment series, both doodle treatments resulted in a statistically significant increase in pin rate over the control branch experience. In the default browser series, both doodle treatments resulted in statistically significant increases to default rates.

The experiment will help us estimate DAU impact. Once the experiment ends, we will push this feature to every single user who hasn't seen it. Then we can run the analysis to extrapolate total DAU impact from the experiment."
