I haven't seen this problem... using current commercial trunk builds, linux
rh8.0. Will continue to try to reproduce.
Reporter: Can you try a more current build? The junk mail feature has been
worked on quite a bit since Nov. If you're still experiencing the problem, can
you provide some more details -- what kind of account are you using, were the
mails moved or other steps applied to these mail messages which might give a
clue as to reproducing said problem.

Host and host2 are the domain names of two different ISPs.
user and user2 are users at each of those ISPs, respectively.

I was going to report this as a bug, I am using W2K and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030127.
When a mail arrives in my inbox which is junk (but has not been filtered) I
select it then quickly press the "junk" button and drag it to the junk box.
Hopefully all before it has run any javascript to tell them that I have read it ;o)

Oops. I didn't read this bug very carefully. My bug is to do with the Junk
status being lost when a mail is moved between mailboxes, not when I
quit/restart. Sorry...

This is absolutly a dupe of bug 191042.
Confirming this problems running Windows XP and Windows 2000, using Moz 1.3 with
a Cyrus IMAP server.
I manually mark the message as Junk and then press "Get new mail". The status of
Junk is lost.
This bug has to do with bug 198362, bug 193084, bug 193199, bug 191750 where
users experience the same problem as a part of their bug reports. There seems to
be a lot of more duplicate marking to be done here. There are two similar
problems that pops up over and over again:
1. Mails manually marked as Junk loses their status when:
a) Running the "Get new mail" function.
b) Switching to another mail account.
c) Restarting Mozilla.
Maybe all of this apply to the problem a.
2. Junk status lost when moving mails between folders.
All of the reporters seem to use some kind of IMAP system.

bug 191042 is resolved as fixed on 2003-05-14. Anyone who had problem with this
bug please retry with a newer build. Or resolve this bug as dupe of bug 191042
if no one can reproduce this bug
Summary: Email's junk status is forgotten → Mail junk status is forgotten after restart
