People

(Reporter: jonalmeida, Unassigned)

Details

From github: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/22680.

Issue

Sometimes there's a black bar above a video in the PiP player. Note that it doesn't happen on all videos (might be an aspect ratio-related issue?). It happens both in Nightly and release.

Screenshot

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open this YouTube video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AgibZPCkreQ

  2. Play the video and enter full-screen mode.

  3. Go to home screen to enter picture-in-picture mode.

Expected result

The video fills the whole PiP window.

Actual result

There's a black bar above the video in the PiP window.
