Environment:
Operating system: Google Pixel 5 (Android 13)
Firefox version: Nightly 111.0a1-20230208095231

Preconditions:
• ETP set to STRICT
• Clean profile

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://www.nintendo.es/Juegos/Juegos-de-Nintendo-Switch/OCTOPATH-TRAVELER-II-2267059.html?c=demo&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=OctopathTravelerII%7CNDirectDemoAvailable%7Cm_id_mE4d4Qxa3r%7C2267059
  2. Observe the account icon.

Expected Behaviour:
The account icon loads and it can be accessed.

Actual Behaviour:
The account icon is stuck loading and account login is not possible.

Notes:

  1. Screen rec provided
  2. Not reproducible with Standard ETP
  3. Same behaviour in Private and Firefox Release
Severity: -- → S3

I'm not entirely sure if this is ETP related, or just an intermittent issue. I just ran into that myself. One thing I noticed is

Uncaught TypeError: can't access property "split", window.OnetrustActiveGroups is undefined

which is something we actually shipped an intervention for in bug 1787267, but removed it again in bug 1802326. So maybe the underlying bug here is the thing we already know, and we might have to re-ship the intervention. ETP might have an effect on how reproducible that is, and it's possible that this is just more reliably broken with ETP.

Since I could just reproduce this issue without ETP enabled at all (and with no other content blocker), I'm moving this into the WebCompat component for diagnosis.
