User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/110.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to add back in the delete icon, the junk icon. Also want to be able to "Get Mail" and "Create New Message", for which those icons/buttons are also gone with this beta update.

Actual results:

Could not add the buttons.

Expected results:

Should have allowed the buttons. Also tried the "default set".

Component: Untriaged → Mail Window Front End
Summary: Cannot add icons in version 111.0b1 (64-bit) → Customization lacks "Get Mail" and "Create New Message" buttons

Severity: -- → S3
Summary: Customization lacks "Get Mail" and "Create New Message" buttons → Customization lacks `Delete`, `Junk`, `Get Mail" and "Create New Message" buttons

Worksforme on 112.0a1 (2023-02-28) (64-bit), Win10.

The following buttons are available via Unified toolbar customization:

  • Delete
  • Junk
  • Get Messages (this is different than 102: does "Fetch new messages for all accounts" and has lost the dropdown to get messages for individual accounts - some of this may need a new bug as different users have different needs)
  • Write

Those buttons and the ability to put them back is already available.
Right click on the new unified toolbar and click Customize....

You probably tried to access the customization from the menu bar (view > toolbar > customize) which triggers the old customization since we're still transitioning to the new toolbars and migrating existing user's configurations.

We're already working on this and wiring the menubar customize item to the new toolbar.

Thanks Thomas for confirming that.

Yes that sounds worthy of a separate bug.

We're already aware of that and Martin is working on re-implementing the individual accounts options for that button.
I'm not sure we already have a bug for that, I'll check with him and open a bug if needed.

Tried clicking pretty much everywhere and anywhere, but could not summon a toolbar to display these items. Please advise work around steps to bring these back.
