Steps to reproduce:

1. I want to create an e-mail for an existing recipient-list but with the option to eliminate some members of the recipient-list
2. I try to do it like documented in TB help
3. Software doesn't work like described in help as the button "Create" is not shown if starting via the addressbook
   --> Details see my screenshot with my comments

It is a bug in the software which should be fixed - as in "Help" the feature is offered and documented how it should work but a button is missing on the screen.
I use the most current TB version 102.8.0 (64-Bit) which is declared to be the actual one under Help/About TB.

Sorry, I don't understand why you are requesting any URL for this bug I reported.
I just referenced an extract of the Thunderbird help-knowledge base which is not consistent to how my e-Mail-client Thunderbird works.

The respective URL is shown in my attached screenshot. As my native language is German the content of the screenshot and the URL is in German:

I hope you can identify the corresponding English URL in the English knowledge base.

The Bug is in my Thunderbird-e-mail client not in any URL in the Internet. I am a normal private user of TB on a laptop using "win 10 pro 64 Bit".

How to reproduce the bug I have described in my report above.

In version 102, with the new address book UI, to get the write button you must click the mailing list in the pane to the right. This matches to bug 1802914.

The documentation might need to be changed.

After reading the links given above and trying to use the different work-arounds I found by chance the solution I was originally looking for:
how to expand a mailing list in the fields "To/CC/BCC" of a new e-Mail:

1. Enter the name of the "mailing-list" in the respective field e.g. "to"-field
2. Open the context-menu by right click on the name of the mailing-list in the "to"-field
3. Select the entry "Replace list by members/contacts"

This will show the contacts of the mailing-list in the "to"-field thus enabling the user to delete or add specific contacts just only in this concrete e-Mail.
I will add 3 screenshots documenting these steps.

Hope this will help other users.

It would be great if this is - or will be - included in the "Help" documentation.
