Steps to reproduce:

have several email account at different profiders
I have a@a.com b@b.com c@c.com
b@b.com is default in smtp conf
normally when writing an email, head/top email account to send it prevail over the default smtp conf
means if I send with a@a.com, it will be sent by a@a.com
it's working when thund profile is setup or configured
however, after few months of normal working/behavior of thund, something strange happens, from a day to the other :
smtp default profiles configuration then is inverted :
I have to manually select in the configuration options the "default smtp server" by choosing it in the smtp profiles, instead of just choosing the email account to be used for writing an email.
Normally, the email compositor window prevails on the default smtp server.
after few months, it's blocked by default smtp server. It's not normal
see as screenshot to understand better :
while a@a.fr is selected, smtp is blocked by an error saying : "invalid password for b@b.fr", however b@b.fr have nothing to do with this email send, even if b@b.fr is default smtp profile, where I dont want to get "one by default", just the one chosen in the top/head new email window.

Expected results:

within the window of new email compositor, the top/head email account selected might always, always, always prevail on smtp default configuration.
at the beginning it works. After few months it dismatch.

just to know if it's possible to get some news regarding that bug?

Not soon - everyone is quite busy right now working hard on finishing a new version.

so refreshing to a new one profile might be the only way to avoid this bug..

as I said on forum:
unfortunately, there are already, since in the profile, for each email imap account, the one corresponding in SMTP. So means several smtp profiles, with different providers.

but, anyway when compositing in a new mail window, we are supposed to be priorized when selecting the email used to send the new one, where in that bug, thund keeps anyway the default one in the general smtp configuration, which is not the expected behaviour, as you can see in screenshot (netc/mailo provider is selected as end user priorised choice, where thund keeps going with the "geeneral default smtp" one (in screenshot, infomaniak), which is not supposed to be..

unfortunately after a first bug -i guess- I removed all the smtp servers profiles, few weeks ago
I didnt noticed I had to rematch emails accounts in their general properties for each, with the smtp profile matching it. (see latest screenshot)
