1825410 - Problem updating Thunderbird

Steps to reproduce:

When I go to Thunderbird>Help>About Thunderbird I get a screen with a button that says "Restart to Update Thunderbird" (screenshot attached). I click on the button.

Actual results:

Thunderbird closes and then restarts, but has not updated - when I do the steps above, I get the same screen, and the version is unchanged.

Expected results:

Thunderbird should update to the latest version. I don't know what "browser's user agent string" refers to, so I can't include it.

Please add instructions on how to "include browser's user agent string" to the bug reporting form.

1. Open Settings
2. Scroll to and click on "Config Editor"
3. Paste in app.update.log and set it to "true".
4. Restart Thunderbird.
5. Open the Help > About dialog.
6. Open Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console

From Error Console please copy/paste everything starting with "AUS:" into a new comment in this bug. Thanks!

Changing app.update.log to "true" does not let me update Thunderbird. Instead, clicking "about" now just goes directly to the page in the screenshot I previously sent. Here is everything from the Error Console; please sort through to see the AUS items:

I don't have quite enough information to say for sure, but it is extremely likely that this is being caused by the exact same issue as Bug 1825556.
