Details

(Whiteboard: [Supernova3p])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0

Steps to reproduce:

In beta version 113.0b1 the trash bin shows count of only unread mail in the bin.

Actual results:

I deleted 2 emails one had been read the other unread. The trash bin showed only a count of 1.

Expected results:

the count should have been 2.

Yeah, but then, that's what all folders are currently showing - unread count. Making an exception only for Trash bin wouldn't be consistent. Unfortunately, we are not even telling the user that this is the unread count. I think there are some changes planned which should include a further option to show total count.

Component: Untriaged → Folder and Message Lists
Summary: trash bin counts only unread emails → Would like to see a total count of messages for trash folders, not only unread.
Whiteboard: [Supernova3p]

Ok, then how about a split count, IE: 5/1 where the first number is the read count and the second number is the unread.

Something like that is planned as an option I believe. It's typically displayed the other way round: 1 unread from a total of 5, so that's 1/5.
