Steps to reproduce:
Inbox set to show newest messages last (Date ^). Enter text in the Filter box.
Actual results:
Thunderbird scrolls over and over evidently towards the oldest messages until the oldest is reached and the screen stops scrolling.
Expected results:
Filtering should be nearly instantaneous. If I change the Date column (Date V) so the newest messages are at the top of the screen then filters happen without any scrolling.

You should find this is gone in 113.0b6.
