Sometimes when I open the new tab page, clicking on the buttons does not actually open the page in question. Instead, nothing happens. If I click on the "..." for a button and select "Open in a New Window", nothing happens. I don't see any errors in the browser console when doing either of these things.
On the other hand, if I right click on the button and do "Open link in new tab" it opens the page normally.
If I open another new tab right away, the new one works, but the old one continues to not work.
I'm not sure what might be causing the tab to open in this state. I'll try leaving the browser console open in case there's an error when it next happens. I have a tab sitting in the broken state right now.
I've noticed this for a few days now. I'm currently on an up-to-date Nightly.

[Tracking Requested - why for this release]: seems bad for the new tab page to not work sometimes

The Pocket buttons don't work either.
The links at the bottom, like "Self improvement" and "Privacy notice" do work. Which is unfortunate because they navigated away from the page, and when I hit back that tab was no longer in the stuck state. I'll try to keep an eye out for it happening again.

Switching tracking request to 114 (currently nightly version is 114 until central is bumped to 115 on 2023-05-08)
Sounds similar to Bug 1830911

Ah, interesting! Yeah, I think I have noticed it happening when swapping between windows. I didn't remember moving the newtab window, but I guess that could be what I am doing. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I'll just dupe this and reopen it if that doesn't fix my issue when it lands.
