do you have flash installed?
It the plugin that's the problem I just discovered. If you right click on
anywhere on the page I get the Flash context menu...

will attach test case were the difference between IE and mozilla is evident.
IE only renders the flash animation in the div, makeing it possible to right
click anywhere on the page and see the normal context menu, while Mozilla seems
to ignore the div tag.
Summary: unable to click on links → unable to click on links because flash plugin covers entire page

if you right click anywhere inside the div tag surrounded with a black border
you get different results in Mozilla and IE:
Mozilla = the flash context menu
IE = the IE context menu

Reopening. With r61 of flash this renders correctly which suggests that wmode is
working correctly. It looks like the mouse events aren't getting propagated to
the underlying page. I am not sure how this is meant to work! If the event is
not handled by the plugin should it propagate through to the underlying div?

Are you suggesting that the focus pass through the plug-in and trigger an event
on the page?
Comment 13•22 years ago

kinda sounds like what bug 182299 is asking for
What does NPP_HandleEvent return?
Run with NSPR_LOG_MODULES=PluginNPP:9 to see that function logged.

WM_MOUSEMOVE and WM_LBUTTONDOWN are both returning zero, so I agree this is the
same as bug 182299 marking as dupe.
