This issue is still reproducible on Windows 8.1 x64, Windows 7 x64, Firefox Release 113.0 - 115.0. I am marking this issue as reopen.

We took a look over this issue and we're no longer able to verify it on Firefox 116 versions and above due to the fact that these are no longer supported on Windows 7 and Windows 8. However, we have verified on Firefox 113 - Firefox 115 versions and the issue is still reproducible. We could set the WONTFIX status since this issue is still reproducible but we can no longer verify it on the latest Firefox version.
Thank you!

Thank you! I suppose this affects 115 ESR, though. Maybe we could try to uplift a fix. I don't have much context though. Barret, do you know if fixing this for ESR would be feasible?
Edit: Not sure how this got set from reopened to new.

Closing this as there's no prospect for set to default experiments targeting ESR 115. If that changes, and if ESR 115 continues receiving updates for Windows 7/8 after the version bump, we can reopen it at that point.

It is unclear what the actual cause is here. Does this issue reproduce on Windows 10/11 with Firefox 113-115? If not, I would bet that this is actually some platform-specific issue with Windows 7 or 8, which I don't believe is worth investing time to fix.
