This has been going on for about a week or more. Someone appears to have checked in a change to non-selected/focused tab colouring that isn't taking theme colours into account.
If the theme is dark, text becomes unreadable/invisible since it seems to be hardcoded to black.
Oh... and experiencing this in MATE on Devuan Chimæra with any dark theme. Switching to a light theme fixes.

Would you be able to help us narrow down the regression range for this? See https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ for more information in case you haven't done that before.

I attached a screenshot of what I can reproduce on my machine (Ubuntu 20.04) using latest Firefox 116.0a1 and an older build from 103.0a1 (20220623190323). Can you please confirm this is the issue? Thank you.
Hi. After being asked for a regression range, I verified I could still reproduce it with a clean profile and a standard MATE theme. My normal profile I found some workaround after fiddling in firefox theme settings.
I will work on the regression date asked for when I get a little free time. Very busy at both home and work lately.

Looks like this might be a duplicate of bug 1832732, which should be fixed? nemo, what version of Firefox are you using?
oh... crud. sorry, forgot about this bug. I was using nightly. when I get home, I will update nightly, reset my theme, create a new profile and retest. maybe it's been addressed.
Heh. Forgot again but finally got around to updating to latest nightly.
I tested with 2 dark themes in a clean profile and the problem seems to be gone. Yay!
So I guess this can be closed.

Actually, I think I'll take the initiative on this one after reading the other bug. Seems very obviously a dupe.
