This is no longer an issue, as of bug 1790700 being fixed (in Firefox 125)
The patch that we landed there did two things:
(1) on Android: hide the spinners entirely
(2) on Desktop: hide the spinners when a field isn't focused or hovered (depending on an about:config pref).
Part (1) is the relevant part for this WebCompat knowledge base ticket, and it makes this a non-issue, so I think we can close this, right?
(I'll ni=ksenia to do that since I'm not sure whether there's any additional process to do when closing knowledge base tickets.)

Yeah, we can close this, I confirmed that webcompat issue in https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/107783 is no longer reproducible
