steps:
Compose new mail message
Attach an image (I see the problem with both gifs and jpegs)
Send it to yourself
Read it
Any text in the body of the message does display. However the image never
finishes loading: it displays as a broken icon while the spinner spins on.

POP only. IMAP is fine. (So I'm probably mistaken, assigning this to the mime
component. But I hope it's a good place to start.)

First appears in the 2002-12-03-05 build (the 2002-12-02-05 build does not have
this bug.)
