I have verified this task using the latest Firefox Nightly 116.0a1 (Build ID: 20230620094433) installed on Windows 10 x64, macOS 13.2, and Ubuntu 22.04 x64. I can confirm that the trailhead.firstrun.newtab.triplets pref is no longer displayed on the "about:config" page.
