Affected versions

  • Nightly v116.0a1

Affected platforms

  • Windows10
  • macOS 11
  • Ubuntu 21.04

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open https://www.hulu.com/ and open PiP for a random video. (US VPN may be necessary)
  2. Modify the volume slider position in PiP and check the one in the original player.

Expected result

  • The volume slider position of PiP is in sync with the original player's volume slider.

Actual result

  • THe volume slider position change is NOT reflected in the original player.

Regression range

  • Not a regression, but an implementation flaw.

Additional notes

  • The actual sound volume modifications work as expected.
  • Mutting/unmuting does not cause a similar issue, as they are in sync.
  • This issue only occurs when modifying in PiP and checking in the original player, but not the other way around.

:danibodea, if you think that's a regression, could you try to find a regression range using for example mozregression?
