184265 - default favicon (page icon) disappears at photo.net

Don't see this at any other site, and it doesn't happen in mozilla, but it
happens every time in Phoenix.

Load www.photo.net.
See default favicon in URL bar.
Load a new page there, eg, Hasselblad H1 review.
See blank favicon in URL bar.

Mozilla still shows a default icon there. Doesn't work if multiple tabs are
open. (you'll properly see the default icon)

It helps if you restart before you try and reproduce. Clear your cache, and let
photo.net be the first site you load. Happens everytime when I do it that way.

Reporter, you didn't say what build your are using, or if you were using a clean
profile.

That said, this is WFM on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US;
rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5

It was a fairly clean profile... Phoenix 0.5...

Seems to be happening lots of places, like tegu.mozilla:

And coming back to this bugzilla tab, the mozilla favicon is shown for half a
second, then the URL bar switches to the default one. Happens every time I
switch here.

Maybe the toolbar code is trying to set the favicon more often than need be and
that's causing what I'm observing?

blank favicon.

Still 100% reproducable with Gecko/20030125 Phoenix/0.5

After it disapears and I hit back, to the main photo.net page, it's still missing.
Back once more to this page then showed the mozilla favicon there.

I have seen this on quite a few other sites lately too. Icons is tabs are always
OK, but sometimes there is a blank space in the URL bar.

We need to clear cache to reproduce.
Open the URL:
http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=926562
then default favicon (page icon) disapears.
Not 100% but frequently.

photo.net no longer appears to have a favicon at all... I can't find one at
www.photo.net/favicon.ico and there is none in the source code. May be related
to bug 184265.

The page http://www.photo.net/ doesn't have a favicon any more at 
the "standard" location or referenced in source code, as mentioned in comment 7.

The original bug is probably an effect of bug 174265, so I'll mark as a 
duplicate of that.  Reopen if you think otherwise (or should this have been 
marked INVALID?).
