Steps to reproduce:
Switch to Dark mode
Actual results:
Thunderbird is completely in Dark Mode (good), but the problem is with the frame that shows Emails:
Background is still brightly white and text is still black
P.S: This has been going since before v115
Expected results:
Background should be black and Text white

Came here to report the same. Still the same behavior with 130.0b1
Is there any info on the issue why the message reader view is the only one which does not support the dark-mode? Is this something technical which is blocked by other tasks or just a lack of time/contribution?
HTML mails may be a bit tricky, but at least text mail could easily be done I would assume.
Happy to dig into this a bit if someone has some starting pointers, haven't built thunderbird in a long while though.

I apply userContent.css as a workaround. In that case, v128 is much better than v115 with. v128 no longer has white flash when switching between messages.
