Requesting that the following question be updated with updated language:

Question:
I use Pocket on my Kobo e-Reader. How does this change affect how I log in to Pocket?

New Answer:
Kobo is committed to maintaining support of Pocket on all their eReaders and will update the Pocket login to support Firefox accounts.

Kobo users logged into an existing Pocket account will not be affected, nor lose access to their accounts. For new Pocket users with accounts created after August 2023, an eReader update will be required and Kobo will have a new sign-in flow to support Firefox accounts.

Existing users who want to switch to a Firefox account to login must update their eReaders at that time to continue using Pocket. Kobo users can also continue to use Pocket on their iOS or Android device or use Pocket’s website.

Does the content need to be localized in any languages outside of our priority locales (yes or no)?

Yes
All of Pocket's locales

Does the content require legal review (yes or no)?

No

Is the content embargoed (yes or no)?

No

Olivia, is anything more needed for this? Or was this just for the work Lucas did last week? Thanks!

This is a new update that Kobo is requesting we make, replacing the information in that Kobo question with their new answer.

(For the record) A new https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-transition-firefox-accounts-faq article was just created with duplicate information. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-transition-firefox-accounts-faq/history https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-migration-to-firefox-accounts/history and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-transition-firefox-accounts-faq/discuss/11631 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-migration-to-firefox-accounts/discuss/11631 New article. Please update the links! <-- updated URLs to renamed article.

The new SUMO KB article Pocket Transition to Firefox Accounts - FAQ looks like a direct copy of this help.getpocket.com article, including the title:
https://help.getpocket.com/article/1187-pocket-migration-to-firefox-accounts Pocket Transition to Firefox Accounts - FAQ

It looks like there is a project to migrate help.getpocket.com articles to SUMO KB articles (see https://github.com/mozilla/sumo/issues/1414 Create a webhook to redirect Pocket to KB articles).

In this case, should the new article be redirected to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-firefox-account-migration or should we update the new article and then redirect the old one there?

Hi Alice! Good catch. Let me update the redirect mapping. We can delete the new article that was created and instead use the existing article once the redirects are put in place. Thanks for flagging!

The new article [1] was renamed (both title and slug) and the original article [2] had a title change but both articles still exist:

[2] https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-firefox-account-migration Pocket transition to Mozilla accounts

[1] https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pocket-migration-to-firefox-accounts Pocket Transition to Mozilla account - FAQ (the new article).
I have a revision pending to edit the new article so that it redirects to the original article.
