Startup still slow if you do troubleshoot mode?
Yes, nothing changes and it's the same in version 102

Is it possible to do something about this error?

Unfortunately, the contact option does not work...
Which step in the instructions does not work?
The problem still occurs in Troubleshoot Mode. Troubleshoot Mode causes the program preferences to be reset when I come back and I have to set everything up again. There are many bugs in Mac OS.

No, they only way they are reset is if you clicked the checkbox to reset them - this is not the default.
There are many bugs in Mac OS.
This doesn't help me understand where you had trouble. Below are the numbered steps. Which number gave you trouble?
- open Mac System preferences
- type "privacy"
- click privacy settings
- click contacts
- at the bottom click the lock and provide your password
- uncheck the box for thunderbird
- restart thunderbird

I've done this a long time ago. 26 years of work in Apple service :-) It does not work.

It does not work.
If that is a question, then you need to tell me what isn't working. I gave you the steps, you didn't give me a number.

Yes, there is a problem with the address book. Can this be resolved? I have a large address book on Mac.

You did everything in comment 10? And those settings stay set?

If I change this, I won't have access to my contacts. And I want to have access to contacts. This needs to be fixed it didn't work well on Mac.

I again asked about comment 10 because you never confirmed that solved the startup delay. I never asked you to permanently cut access to your contacts.

This appears to work on my machine now - and I had the same problem in bug 1831673 .
I just updated to TB 120.0b5 and now it restarts quickly. Can you confirm that works for you @Peter

OK - not fixed - it looks like TB 120.0b5 is failing to read the Contacts list at all.
Peter, can you check Address Books -> Mac OSX Address Book, and ee if any contacts show up.
See bug 1831673 for more detailed description of current state of the bug.
