Steps to reproduce:
When looking at the message list for a folder, I tried to see the address of every sender.
Actual results:
I wasn't able to, except by opening select messages. In the message list, the From and Correspondent columns show the display name. And I didn't see any option to change this in the Settings tab.
Expected results:
It would be useful to be able to add a column that shows the address, rather than the display name. This would come in handy when adjusting the message filter or filters that are sending messages to a folder. For example, my Thunderbird folder has been receiving all messages from thunderbird.net. Today, I received my first message in that folder addressed to me specifically. Therefore, I want to see all the addresses that are used to send messages to a more general audience, so that I can adjust my message filter for the folder. (I will then create a new folder for messages addressed to me specifically, and I will create a message alert for that folder.) Both types of messages have only my name as the recipient, so I have to filter by the sender.

Make that, "Today, I received my first message in that folder INTENDED FOR me specifically."

I now see that this functionality used to be provided by the add-on Full Address Column, but that this add-on can't currently be updated for Thunderbird 115, unless Bug 1817682 is acted on. I'm not sure where to jump into that whole discussion, but I think the example I give above shows that this is a usability issue. If Bug 1817682 isn't acted on, I suggest that the functionality of Full Address Column be added to Thunderbird as an enhancement.

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #3)
covered in bug 697031 ?
Yes. While the example for bug 697031 seems to focus on the Sent folder, the title and the discussion make clear that other folders, like the one in my example, are included.
