When opening message list, before clicking on any message or using the keyboard to focus, right click on a message. Right click on another message. As you continue to right click, dashed borders appear on the messages that are inconsistent.

The dashed borders should display on whatever item the message context menu is related to in that moment. This is not working correctly.

With the update of Cards View, this bug needs to be updated. Should we update this bug or open a new issue?

Steps to replicate the new right click bug:
When opening message list, before clicking on any message or using the keyboard to focus, right click on a message. Right click on another message. As you continue to right click, the background color on the messages that are inconsistent intermittently.

Is the fist message in comment #0 still a valid bug? If so, maybe create a new bug and keep this one open.

If the new bug is the same bug, but now it just shows up differently, you can update it. But I leave that up to you. It's okay to start fresh and close this bug if it is no longer valid.

The action to trigger the bug is the same but how the bug behaves (dashed border vs a colorful bg) is different. We can keep this bug, I just didn't want to edit this bug without notice as I didn't report it.

I will probably abandon the phab patch and start fresh though.

I can no longer replicate this bug and neither can Elizabeth. It seems that this bug was fixed by another patch. If it happens again we can reopen or create a new bug.
