Steps to reproduce:

I have a deleted email account but it's still listed in my emails inside thunderbird, and I want to keep it within the list because I'm keeping all the emails.

But every time I open thunderbird it asks me for password, which I don't have because it's a deleted account server-side.

I'd like to have a checkbox to disable checking for new emails for an account, so that I can mark it as "inactive/disabled", so that that account will only work for searching emails, not for receveing or sending any new email.

Actual results:

I can't find any actual way to stop thunderbird to asks me for password at each start.

Expected results:

Some kind of option or configuration to be able to do what I'd like
