Steps to reproduce:
With the UI rework in Thunderbird 115, some keyboard handling logic seems to have changed.
Suppose you have an inbox with only a few mails, not enough to cover the whole screen.
My way of using Thunderbird when switching between inboxes was to click on the relevant inbox in the tree on the left, and then click somewhere into the inbox itself and hit the End key to go to the latest mail. This used to work regardless of where I clicked. Now, with Thunderbird 115, I have to click on an existing email for the End key (or any other key) to register - clicking into the void space below the last mail no longer assigns keyboard focus to the inbox view.
Actual results:
Clicking into empty part of an inbox view does no longer assigns keyboard focus to that view.
Expected results:
Clicking into empty part of an inbox view should assign keyboard focus to that view, like in previous Thunderbird versions.
