This is surprising and confusing. If I want to see my 6 most recently viewed tab I have no way of doing that.

Your most recent open tabs will be displayed in Recent Browsing (per the other bug you filed, the issue you were seeing is due to a bug 1852622 that is being worked on).

The intention behind clicking "view all" from Recent Browsing is to take you to the Open Tabs section. Indeed its not based on recency within this section - it matches how its ordered in the tab strip. There are more features planned around tab management where it makes sense to design and implement it this way.

However, I can pass this feedback on to UX in case they want to consider a "sort" option by recency for the future.

I'll morph this into a feature request. I also found this a bit unexpected and a (persisted) sort order for this all-open-tabs view would be useful.
