User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0
Steps to reproduce:
TH 115.3.0 Supernover. Latest Update 28-09-2023
Click on 'Get Messages' from main page or 'Get Messages' from individual Outlook accounts.
Actual results:
Outlook accounts open up a web page pop up (see Attachment) requesting login credentials.
NOTE: Non of this happened nor required prior to update to 115.3.0 Supernova.
Yahoo accounts still work correctly in the background. It only affects Outlook accounts.
Expected results:
Click on 'Get Messages' and TB quietly checks messages in the background as always prior to this update 115.3.0.

Correct, we now default to OAuth2 authentication for all user who use microsoft mail services.
Depending on your type of account there, normal password authentication can be used. IF you want to use it and your account with them is such that it's possible, you can change it back in the settings.

Thanks for the response but why no Heads up on the forced change, yet alone the instructions on how to use OAuth2 or change back, even a simple back up of existing settings would have been prudent. Breaking things without notice with auto updates in the backgound is very poor management.
TB developers shouldn't expect users to waste hours looking for a solution when they deliberately caused the problem, as all I remember from this update was now a worse interface and requests for donations.

But there is no reason not to use OAuth2. You enter the creds once, and then you're done.
That is, there is no problem.
