Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212
Newsserver configured with "always request authentication when connecting to
this server" asks for login, works well, but after some yet undetermined idle
time (without closing Mozilla, or the mail and news windows, asks for
user/password again when changing the newsgroup within the same server.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup a Newsserver account with forced auth.
2. Access and authenticat to said newsserver, read any newsgroup
3. Go grab a coffee, drink it, come back to Mozilla and swicth to a different
newsgroup on the same newsserver. It will aks agin for user and password.
Actual Results:
After re-entering user/pass access to the server will work, until you take
another break.
Expected Results:
It should only ask once for user/password on pushed auth per session, like NS4.X
did. As this is *pushed* auth, the problem clearly is in Mozilla, as the
Newsserver will never ask for user/pass on it's own. Accessing the same server
from the same machine with NS4.8 will ask for user/pass only once until NS gets
shutdown.
