Bug reproduced on a Linux stable build with Wayland support enabled (go back one page or forward one page with two fingers on the trackpad isn't supported otherwise). Might probably be reproduced on mac, and on Windows if those gestures are supported (dunno about support on Windows).

STR:

  • Open a page where you have backward/forward history;
  • Use two fingers to move back or forward the history and have the arrow appearing left or right;
  • When the arrow is visible and before you release fingers, produce a right click even (either with a rapid release and tap with two fingers before arrow disappear, or with a right click button physically present on the keyboard, trackpad or a mouse);
  • The arrow will stay in the state she was even after you make disappear the right click menu by pressing esc;
  • It seems that if you try to produce again the same movement, it'll resume where it was left.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Those arrows are some Firefox UI feature.

What version of Firefox are you using? This might be related to bug 1811575 that was fixed in Fx111. Or could be a duplicate of bug 1812100

Latest stable (ArchLinux), so 118.0.2.
I don't think this is the same bug as the linked one, because here there's a clear action to cause that arrow to stuck: that's the apparition of the right-click mouse button which is causing this arrow to "freeze", and to stay that way even after cancelling the right-click menu.

I can reproduce on my Windows 11 laptop. Setting P3:S3 since it's a kinda cosmetic issue, the stuck icon can be disappeared by starting a new gesture.
