Heya,
Since yesterday that TB 115 keeps freezing and crashing.
For months that if I scrolled down the items in the inbox and moved some messages to specific folders, it would refresh the messages windows and move the current line position to the top, but now it is crashing.

Please test windows 11 in safe mode
Wayne, I am scared to mess with Windows safe mode and such.
Aren't the crash reports enough to see what is going on?
Thanks!

THere is nothing to be scared off. It's a frequently used and frequently recommended diagnostic and does not change your system.

no

Wayne,
I booted in safe mode with “F5 - enable safe mode with networking” but networking was off.
I clicked on the TB icon, and it started very quickly.
I moved from messages up and down using the arrow keys, and it was very fast.
However, networking was off, so I couldn't download any messages.

Try disabling gloda (Global search and Indexer)
Heya, Magnus!
It still freezes.
I have removed all add-ons except:
- CardBook
https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/cardbook - Emoji
https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/emojiaddin
And I only have two dictionaries:
- British
- Portuguese
My most recent add-on updates were CardBook and ImportExportTools on 5-OCT, but now I only have the two above.
I already sent an e-mail to the CardBook developer asking if it may be a bug in this add-on, but no reply so far.
Thanks!

Guys?!
I found the cause of the issue.
It is McAfee antivirus.
If I disabled real-time scanning, Thunderbird becomes fast as it used to.
I paid over 100 EUR for McAfee to have it on all computers and mobile phones at home.
Is there something that can be fixed on Thunderbird's side, or should I complain to McAfee's technical support?
Thanks!
