Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Every bookmark group I've created broke(turned into a bookmark directory, keeping its contents) after a few days, I think always when I started Mozilla, and always within a week of creating the bookmark group. Repeatedly running Mozilla in a single boot does not provoke the bug; I hadn't tested repeatedly rebooting and running Mozilla, since I'm running Windows. I also hadn't tested not running it for a few days. Four times this happened while I had multiple bookmark groups(I always keep them in bookmarks root), and both groups broke at once; two of those times, there were "indexing" issues where dragging a bookmark would move another bookmark to another location(as if the first group and its children were skipped when using indices). Restarting Mozilla didn't fix this, but deleting both former groups(after copying out their contents) did. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a bookmark group. You may need to leave it in bookmarks root(which is default). You may need a large number of bookmarks in dirs above it. 2. Run Mozilla at least once a day for a few days. 3. Each time you run Mozilla, open the bookmarks menu. Actual Results: The bookmark group had turned into a bookmark directory. It had the directory icon, it opened to show its contents, and clicking on it did nothing. In the Bookmark Manager, it similarly behaved as a bookmark directory. Expected Results: The bookmark group should've stayed a group. (Alternately, bookmark directories should have a "Open All These Bookmarks" item on their context menu, which will open them as a group in a new window, ignoring subdirs.) Mozilla 1.21, default theme(since there's no Netscape 3-esque theme), Win98SE(installed almost a year ago, but rebooted twice daily).
