RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1715361

People

(Reporter: nvx2004, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/118.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

(1) Enable Dark theme
(2) Select View > Message body as > Plain text
(3) View any message

Actual results:

The message pane colours reflect the Light theme (black text on white background).

Expected results:

The message pane colours should match the Dark theme when plain text viewing of messages is selected.

Additional information:

  • Unchecking "Use system colors" in Settings > General > Language & Appearance > Colors makes no difference. Overriding the colours "always" (the combobox below "Use system colors") results in the entire UI being affected.
  • Message composition window (when "Compose messages in HTML format" is unchecked in the account settings) reflects the Dark theme as expected.
  • Problem is observed on Windows 10/11 with Light OS theme enabled.
